I'm an eighteen year old photographer from Toronto, Canada. At the moment, I am doing my undergrad at the University of Toronto Scarborough. I am an English and Philosophy double major.

I have an extreme interest and passion for any creative outlet that I can get my hands on. My artistic expression began in the area of music, and when I was in fifth grade I joined the Bach Children's Chorus. Last year was my final year singing with the choir, but I still practice in various venues such as my church, talent shows, and recordings with friends.

My interest in the visual arts was next to take hold of me. With a growing obsession for anime, I began to illustrate as many things as would come to mind. In the years this obsession took hold of me, no school notebook was left without being covered in doodles and sketches. Fantasy art was my favourite genre, and with the inspiration of anime, I created my own style of illustration. I have since lost interest in the visual arts, but am determined to regain my passion for illustration.
Writing had always been a favoured technique of expression to me, yet it wasn't until later on that I felt I had developed my skills in English to a point where I could communicate well to an audience. With the help and encouragement of many of my English teachers, I grew to love expression through words very much. My favourite form of literature to write in is poetry, but in reading I find that novels are the greatest inspiration to me.

I have only recently discovered my passion for photography, yet even so it seems as though this venue of expression has taken me the farthest. With support from friends at school, church, and especially those on Flickr, I have grown in my ability. Having purchased a DSLR this past June, I hope for nothing more than the ability to refine my technique in this genre of artistic expression.

Through my artwork I intend to do two things: express the essence of the subject of the art, and express the essence of myself. If I have done this, I feel I have done my job as an artist.
Ambitions
To write my own novel or poetry anthology and have it published.
To become a well-known and established photographer.
To sing as a lead in a musical (small production or otherwise).
To transcend the human condition.
